No one loves jewelry more than me. It is a well-known, long-time fact that I not only own; but, I am in constant search for beautiful and unusual jewelry. Something I found by accident happened while purchasing a gold necklace and bracelet, I lucked up with the exact same designs on each. Even the gem colors were a perfect match. I got so many compliments that I decided to seek earrings as well. Oftentimes one can fine sets of jewelry with all the matching pieces...which is nice; but, I seem to love the hunt!

In my quest, I found the perfect cubic Zirconia earrings, which I purchased without hesitation. What a magnificent set the three-piece collection made. No one knew if one wasn't real, and I would never tell!
When it came time to attend my best friend's daughter's wedding, I wore this grouping, and not only did it go perfectly with the dress, it was perfect for the occasion. The same online store also carried a "diamond necklace" made from the Zirconia stone, and believe me, it looked like the real deal! I thought seriously about purchasing that as well for occasional swaps.

I have always loved my wedding set; but, with our 48th wedding anniversary fast approaching, I have been hinting for either a new Anniversary Ring or even better, new Wedding ring...I've decided, we've paid our dues, it's time, and he's got the money!!! I have a beautiful diamond necklace. I got it as a gift a few weeks ago from my sister when I stopped working at my job and began following my dream of being a writer. She told me it was a symbol of perseverance and taking initiative, going after what I wanted and giving it everything I had. She told me she knew I was a diamond in the rough, hence the diamond necklace.

My first two books are coming out back to back. One is non-fiction and the other is a mystery. My family and friends who have read them love them and want to order them with promises of getting them autographed. Imagine, a simple country girl autographing a book that she wrote. It really is a dream come true.

Each time I see the diamond necklace I am reminded that my family believes in me; that I am pursuing my dreams and they are coming true. I am reminded that life can happen to us but it is so much more interesting if we work at making a life that happens. As I look at my diamond necklace I see my dreams coming true in my forties. I remember the first time I received a diamond necklace. It was a 1 carat round diamond on a long gold necklace. I wore it everyday for almost a year.
